My Bio

My name is Sally. I was born and raised in a Christian home, in the Middle-East. I moved to Canada with my family.
My Interest in Religious Stuff
My faith was challenged quickly after joining my university. Two main challenges stumbled me in particular; two were intellectual and one emotional.
Most of us are familiar with some of the intellectual challenges raised by science and philosophy. For me, human origin and the problem of evil were two major intellectual stumbling blocks.
Emotionally, I could not make sense of why Christians failed to live up to their professed beliefs. They hurt others including their loved ones. I was not trying to set up unrealistic expectations. But other than going to the church, I felt that Christians were no different. Either we did not believe it to be true, or Christianity simply lacked the power to transform its followers to advance themselves morally.
But, I had to deal with the question of the truth of Christianity first.
From here, I started a search during my second-year university. Many years after, the search had led me to accept the truth of Christianity. However, I still lacked the ability to articulate Christianity. Meanwhile, I was also praying for God to open the door for me to serve Him. Eventually, I discovered apologetics.
Apologetics seeks to understand, evaluate, and respond to objections raised against the Christian faith. These objections span different areas of human knowledge such as science, ethics, theology, and philosophy.
My Education
Meanwhile, I have earned my B. Sc. in Pharmacology with distinction and my M. Sc. in Occupational Therapy with Honors. In fall 2018, I got my MA in Christian Apologetics with highest honors from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University.
